National Seminar Marks International Mother Language Day
Pooja Srivastava, Anytime News Network | On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the Hindi Department of Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalaya organized a one-day national seminar on “Linguistic Diversity: The Foundation of National Unity.”
Scholars emphasized the role of languages in nation-building and cultural identity. Dr. Ram Bahadur Mishra highlighted the importance of including regional languages in academic curricula, while noted litterateur Dr. Umashankar Shukla ‘Shitikant’ stressed that regional dialects strengthen Hindi rather than weaken it.
Principal Prof. Manjula Upadhyay underlined the significance of mother tongue in education and values. The seminar concluded with the National Anthem and a collective pledge to preserve linguistic harmony.
