Governor Anandiben Patel Awards Winners at Grand Postal Exhibition Finale
Anytime News Network. The four-day district-level stamp exhibition “Lucknowpex”, organized by India Post at Jan Bhavan in Lucknow, concluded successfully amid great enthusiasm. Philatelists from Lucknow and several districts across Uttar Pradesh showcased rare and collectible stamps, adding prestige and vibrancy to the event.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the release of special covers, special cancellations, and picture postcards. Multiple competitions—including quiz, letter writing, and stamp design—were conducted for school students. Workshops and seminars on philately introduced participants to the history and significance of stamp collecting, aiming to cultivate creativity and awareness among young minds.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel honoured the winners with certificates and awards for their outstanding performances. In the quiz competition, Madiha Javed secured first place, followed by Mrityunjay Maurya in second and Priyansh Singh in third. In the letter-writing contest, Divyanshi Vyas stood first, Anshika Patel second, and Sumedha Chandel third. The stamp design competition saw Tanishka claim the top spot, with Ayushi Singh finishing second and Aaliya Warsi third.
The closing ceremony was held in the distinguished presence of the Postmaster General, Headquarters Region, Lucknow, who congratulated participating schools, students, and parents for making the exhibition a success. He also encouraged greater participation in future initiatives organized by India Post.
“Lucknowpex” not only strengthened interest in philately but also provided a dynamic platform for students to display their artistic and intellectual abilities, making the exhibition a memorable addition to the city’s educational and cultural landscape.
