Once again, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), one of the most prominent government hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, finds itself under intense scrutiny over allegations of medical negligence. According to reports, Durga Prasad, father of journalist Geetanjali Singh, was admitted to KGMU in critical condition. Family members allege that despite continuous bleeding for nearly three days, the patient did not receive timely or adequate medical attention from the doctors on duty.
The family claims they repeatedly informed hospital staff and authorities about the worsening condition, but their concerns were allegedly ignored. There was no prompt intervention by senior specialists, nor any urgent corrective measures taken during the critical period.
As the bleeding continued unchecked, the patient’s condition deteriorated drastically, ultimately leading to his death. The grieving family believes that timely treatment and proper monitoring could have prevented this tragic loss.
