Anytime News Network In a decisive move to reduce road accidents in the district, authorities have launched a comprehensive survey of 111 identified critical crash locations. Acting on government and District Magistrate directives, a joint team comprising the Transport Department, Traffic Police, Public Works Department, and Health Department is conducting an extensive assessment.
With support from Save Life Foundation, these high-risk spots were identified based on recurring accident data. The survey focuses on structural road issues, signage, lighting, speed management, and emergency medical response systems.
Officials are preparing short-term, mid-term, and long-term corrective action plans, including installation of warning boards, speed breakers, improved lighting, road widening, dividers, and traffic signals. So far, 51 crash points have been surveyed, and a consolidated report will soon be submitted to the government.
Authorities have reiterated that road safety remains a top priority and coordinated action will continue until tangible improvements are visible.
