Tourism, trade and investment in prospect of Indo- Nepal economic cooperation.

 

An event was organised by the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi in Lucknow to discuss the opportunities in Tourism, trade and investment in prospect of Indo- Nepal economic cooperation.

The event was addressed by the Chief Guest Ambassador of Nepal to India, Nepal Minister Economic, President Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand and also by representatives of various other Chamber of Commerce associations, tourism Industrilist, corporates, Business Houses, Bankers and Investors.

 

Addressing the event the Ambassador of Nepal to India Dr.Shankar Prasad Sharma said that economic ties between India and Nepal have long standing historical roots, various Indo-Nepal treaty of trade and transit and other bilateral agreements have played a significant role in enhancing trade and institutionalising a prominent aspect of economic relations.

 

Addressing the event The President of Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand Er.D.P.Singh welcomed this type of event initiative and said that Uttar Pradesh being the neighbouring state from India can play a very important role in tourism, other trades, agriculture, renewable energy projects and investment opportunities.

 

He also said that direct assistance as well as tourism, infrastructure development, irrigation projects, advanced agriculture projects,technical support, renewable energy projects, educational scholarships and exchange programme can uplift the trade relationship.

 

He suggested various business houses and Industrilist to explore the possibilities in Nepal and also invite Nepal business houses to come forward and explore the possibilities to invest in India focusing Uttar Pradesh.

 

Minister Economic Tara Nath Adhikari delivered a thematic presentation on ” Investment, Trade and Tourism Opportunities in Nepal: Prospects of Indo- Nepal Collaboration. Minister Adhikari invited indian businessman to participate in the nepal investment summit at Kathmandu nepal scheduled to be organized at 28-29 April 2024.

 

The event was also addressed by various Business House representatives and other chamber representatives also.
