In a major citizen-centric reform, the Unique Identification Authority of India has partnered with Google to display authorised Aadhaar centres on Google Maps. Residents will soon be able to locate verified centres and access accurate service information seamlessly.

The integration will provide clear information on adult enrolment, child enrolment, address and mobile updates, along with accessibility features, parking availability and operating hours—making Aadhaar services more convenient and transparent.

Over 60,000 Centres to Be Verified, Curbing Misinformation

The initiative aims to enhance public convenience while preventing misinformation. UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar stated that the collaboration will make access to authorised Aadhaar centres faster, easier and more reliable across India.

Future Scope: Direct Appointment Booking via Google Maps

In the next phase, UIDAI will manage centre details through Google Business Profile and explore appointment booking directly through the Maps interface, further strengthening India’s digital governance ecosystem.
