Global Experts Unite at Amity: Innovation to Strengthen Food Security Chain

At the international conference held at Amity University Lucknow Campus in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya emphasized that scientific research and innovation will play a crucial role in strengthening the food security chain and building a self-reliant, developed India.

Inaugurating the conference, he launched a book titled “Pathogens, Plant Health and Food Security” and honored eminent scientists with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their outstanding contributions.

Maurya highlighted that agriculture goes beyond production, encompassing storage, cold chain, processing, quality, and marketing. He stressed that integrating technology and value addition can significantly enhance farmers’ income.

The conference, jointly organized with Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology, has brought together global scientists, policymakers, researchers, and academicians to deliberate on climate change, plant health, and sustainable agriculture.

Experts discussed the role of advanced technologies such as AI, drones, genomics, and ecological approaches in shaping climate-resilient agriculture.

Organizers expressed confidence that the conference will serve as a milestone in addressing global challenges related to agriculture and food security.
