UP Tourism Review Meet Pushes for Faster Implementation

A high-level review meeting of the Tourism and Culture Department was held in Lucknow under the chairmanship of Jaiveer Singh. The Minister assessed the progress of key schemes and projects and sought updates from departmental officials.

While expressing satisfaction over the current budget utilization, he directed that the remaining funds be deployed efficiently and within stipulated timelines. He emphasized clearing pending files between the Secretariat and Directorate and expediting submission of Utilization Certificates (UCs).

Projects such as pilgrimage development works, museum construction, wayside amenities, district tourism offices, eco-tourism initiatives, and tourist accommodation facilities were reviewed in detail. The Minister stressed that approved projects must move swiftly from paperwork to ground execution.

Reiterating tourism’s vital role in boosting infrastructure and employment, he called for strict monitoring and timely implementation to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s tourism ecosystem.
