Anytime News Network Uttar Pradesh’s historic ₹9.12 lakh crore Budget for 2026–27 has received strong endorsement from political leaders and industry stakeholders, who have described it as a transformational roadmap aimed at positioning the state at the forefront of India’s economic resurgence.
BJP Trade Cell State Convenor Vinit Agarwal Sharda, Director of Uttar Pradesh State Construction Cooperative Federation Dr. Parveen Singh Jadaun, and ASSOCHAM Uttar Pradesh State Development Council Co-Chair Hassan Yaqoob termed the Budget a decisive step toward achieving the vision of a trillion-dollar state economy.
🔹 Vinit Agarwal Sharda: “Double-Engine Governance Delivering Results”
Vinit Agarwal Sharda said the Budget reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” translated effectively at the state level under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership.
He emphasized that the government’s focus on infrastructure expansion, industrial corridors, digital ecosystems, startup promotion, MSME facilitation, and logistics hubs demonstrates a clear pro-business orientation. Highlighting western Uttar Pradesh, particularly the Meerut region, Agarwal noted that projects such as the Rapid Rail, expressway connectivity, and new industrial clusters are set to transform the regional economy.
“This Budget respects the aspirations of 25 crore citizens of Uttar Pradesh and lays a strong foundation for sustainable and investment-driven growth,” he said.
🔹 Dr. Parveen Singh Jadaun: “Balanced and Inclusive Development”
Dr. Parveen Singh Jadaun described the Budget as people-centric and development-oriented, stressing its balanced allocation across health, education, agriculture, and cooperative sectors.
He welcomed the expansion of medical institutions, rural healthcare infrastructure, skill development initiatives targeting over 9 lakh youth, and investments aimed at strengthening agricultural value chains. According to him, empowering cooperative institutions and rural enterprises will enhance farmers’ incomes and generate employment at the grassroots level.
He also underlined the importance of support for women-led self-help groups and youth entrepreneurship, calling it a key pillar of social inclusion and long-term economic stability.
🔹 ASSOCHAM: “A Vision Document for Economic Leadership”
ASSOCHAM Co-Chair Hassan Yaqoob termed the Budget a “strategic vision document,” noting its 12.9% year-on-year increase and significant 19.5% capital expenditure allocation as evidence of a forward-looking development strategy.
He highlighted ₹27,103 crore for infrastructure and industrial development, ₹34,468 crore for roads and bridges, ₹65,926 crore for energy security, and ₹3,822 crore to strengthen MSMEs employing over 3.11 crore people. He also cited Uttar Pradesh’s 65% share in India’s mobile phone manufacturing and ₹44,744 crore in electronics exports as indicators of its growing global industrial footprint.
ASSOCHAM further appreciated the government’s fiscal discipline—maintaining a fiscal deficit below 3% and committing to a controlled debt-to-GSDP ratio of 23.1% without imposing new taxes.
Collectively, the responses reflect confidence that the 2026–27 Budget is not merely a financial statement, but a structured blueprint designed to accelerate Uttar Pradesh’s journey toward becoming India’s leading growth engine.
