The Confederation of Indian Industry organised an interactive session with *Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh* , Chief Executive Officer, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority & Noida International Airport. At the interaction Shri Singh interacted with CII members and briefed them on the various initiatives and development projects being undertaken by YEDA.
Shri Singh mentioned that the multi-pronged road connectivity with Yamuna Industrial Development Authority makes it unique and different from the other authorities. It facilitates ease of transportation for the industry. He also mentioned that YEIDA is the only authority which has an international airport (Jewar) in its ambit providing faster transportation to rest of the world. This comes as a blessed feature for the logistics and cargo transportation organisations. He also mentioned that UP has a detailed industrial policy which includes separate policies for sectors like leather & footwear, IT & Electronics, Startup etc. He highlighted that as an industry body there is an immense potential for the businesses to take advantage of incentives, subsidies and various policies.
He mentioned that with the presence of single window approval system, dedicated body for investment promotion and development (Invest UP), the ecosystem of industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh has scaled to an unparallel level. Focusing on the infrastructure development he mentioned that YEIDA has the largest land bank of 3.5Lakh hectares available for the investment. He also mentioned that the proposal for creation of four development centres is also under advance planning. Referring to the current global scenario he reiterated the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi-“Vocal for Local” has become even more relevant and need of the hour.
Speaking at the *interaction, Dr Upasana Arora,* Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh & Managing Director, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals Pvt Ltd.,stated that this interaction is a testimony to the commitment of the government especially from the industrial development authorities like YEIDA that they are poised to bring in quality investment in the state and in realising the ambitious vision of the state to become a trillion dollar economy. She also mentioned that we are committed to collaborate with government in aligning the growth agenda of state with that of CII.
*Mr Abhishek Saraff,* Vice Chairman, CII Uttar Pradesh & Managing Director, Avadh Rail Infra Ltd., thanked Shri Singh, for interacting with the members of the CII for interacting with members of CII and addressing their concerns along with taking the suggests to further strengthen the investment ecosystem of the state.
Speaking at the session *Mr Mahesh Munjal,* Chairman, CII Western U.P. Zonal Council & Managing Director, Majestic Auto Ltd lauded the efforts of the YIEAD for providing the one stop solution for industry in terms of investment and infrastructure development. He highlighted that with such a huge set up Uttar Pradesh has become a favoured destination of the investors for the country and the world.
