In a strong enforcement drive aimed at enhancing road safety, the Transport Department and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation conducted a joint operation against unauthorized vehicles.
Two buses illegally operating in the color scheme of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation were seized and sent to the corporation’s workshop. Additionally, three unauthorized buses were challaned during the campaign.
The drive also targeted overloading violations, leading to the seizure of six goods vehicles at the ARTO office in Badaun. A total penalty amount of approximately ₹1.80 lakh was deposited into the government treasury.
Officials emphasized that misuse of roadways branding and violation of transport norms will not be tolerated. Citizens have been urged to keep all vehicle documents updated and strictly follow traffic regulations to ensure public safety.
