Highway NOC Goes Digital: Gadkari Launches Revamped ‘Rajmarg Pravesh’ Portal

Any Time News Network | Pooja Srivastava

In a major push toward transparency and faster approvals, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has launched the upgraded ‘Rajmarg Pravesh’ web portal to streamline the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) along National Highways.

The portal enables citizens, businesses, and organizations to apply online for access permissions related to fuel stations, roadside amenities, private properties, rest areas, and approach roads along national highways. It also facilitates approvals for laying essential utilities such as water pipelines, gas pipelines, optical fiber cables, and power transmission lines.

Designed in alignment with the government’s ease-of-doing-business agenda, the revamped system promises a transparent, time-bound, and user-friendly approval mechanism. Applicants can digitally submit proposals and track their status, significantly reducing paperwork and administrative delays.

Senior officials present at the launch included Secretary (Road Transport) V. Umashankar and Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Santosh Kumar Yadav, among others. The ministry believes that the digital transformation of the NOC process will accelerate infrastructure development and encourage private investment along India’s highway network.

Tervice delivery and greater accohe move reflects a broader strategy to modernize governance through digital platforms, ensuring faster suntability.
