2,615 Applicants Participate; ₹215 Crore Revenue Expected
Anytime News Network | The Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) successfully conducted an e-lottery for 465 residential plots under the supervision of Vice Chairman Madan Singh Gabryal and Secretary Abhay Kumar Pandey.
The plots, located in Shatabdi Nagar Sector-3 and Jawaharpuram Sectors 1, 1A, and 4, received an overwhelming response with 2,615 applications—more than five times the number of available plots. The scheme, advertised on October 24, 2025, included plot sizes ranging from 60 sq.m to 300 sq.m.
The fully online application process eliminated the need for physical visits, making it convenient for applicants. The lottery was conducted transparently at Atal Bihari Auditorium with live LED screening and YouTube streaming on KDA’s official channel.
KDA expects revenue of approximately ₹215 crore from the sale of these plots. Senior officials, including the Chief Engineer and Chief Town Planner, were present during the event.
