In a tribute to India’s brave soldiers and to promote fitness across the nation, Punjab National Bank is set to organize the PNB Soldierathon Delhi 2026 on April 5, 2026, in New Delhi. The event, themed “Run With Soldiers – Run For Soldiers,” aims to bring together citizens, athletes, and defence personnel in a celebration of resilience, unity, and national pride.

The marathon will begin from the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, and is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Armed Forces. The event marks the second edition of the PNB Half Marathon and forms part of the bank’s celebrations for its 132nd Foundation Day.

The race will feature three categories: a 21-kilometre timed Half Marathon, a 10-kilometre timed run, and a 5-kilometre non-timed fun run. Participants must be at least 18 years old for the half marathon, 15 years for the 10K race, and 10 years for the 5K category.

Organizers have announced that winners will have the opportunity to win cash prizes worth up to ₹19 lakh. However, the 5K non-timed run will not carry prize money and is intended primarily for participation and community engagement.

Participants will receive several race-day benefits including a dry-fit race T-shirt, race bib, goodie bag, hydration support before and after the run, an achiever’s medal, post-race breakfast, medical and physiotherapy assistance, an e-certificate, and free race photographs and personalized video reels.

Beyond being a sporting event, the Soldierathon reflects PNB’s commitment to nation-building and healthy living. The initiative also aligns with the Fit India Movement, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which encourages citizens to adopt active and healthy lifestyles.

The organizers have invited citizens, sportspersons, defence personnel, and corporate teams to participate in the run and show solidarity with India’s armed forces. The spirit of the event is summed up in its message: when the nation runs together, stopping is not an option.
