State Bank of India hosts “Kavi Sammelan” in Observance of International Women’s Day

 

State Bank of India, Local Head Office, Lucknow, under the auspices of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee Lucknow, convened a “Kavi Sammelan” on March 5, 2025, to commemorate International Women’s Day. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and the presentation of floral bouquets and shawls to the esteemed poets by Shri Rajesh Kumar Meena, DGM & CDO. Shri Meena expressed his sincere appreciation to the poets for their presence and contribution to the SBI community through their recitations. The “Kavi Sammelan” featured performances by distinguished poets, including Sh. Mukul Mahan, recognized internationally for his unique blend of humor and satire; Smt. Ranjana Shekhar, a senior poetess; and Sh. Akhand Pratap Singh, a highly talented young poet. Shri Abhishek Shukla served as the introducer for the poets. The event was attended by specially invited female colleagues, representatives from member offices of TOLIC, and staff members of the hosting office.

 

In closing remarks, Shri Diwakar Mani, Assistant General Manager (Rajbhasha), extended gratitude to the poets and affirmed that the evening’s literary presentation would be a lasting memory for all attendees. He further reiterated the institution’s commitment to organizing similar literary and cultural programs in the future.
