Strict Traffic Enforcement in Badaun: 52 Challans Issued, Overloaded Vehicle Seized

Crackdown on Helmet, Seatbelt Violations & Mobile Use; 152 School Vehicles Inspected

. Acting on directives from the Uttar Pradesh government and district administration, a major traffic enforcement drive was conducted in Badaun to strengthen road safety compliance. The operation, led by ARTO (Enforcement/Administration) Hariom on April 6, 2026, saw strict action against multiple traffic violations.

During the अभियान, authorities issued 52 challans against motorists for riding two-wheelers without helmets, driving four-wheelers without seatbelts, and using mobile phones while driving. Illegal roadside parking was also targeted as part of the drive.

In addition, one goods vehicle was found overloaded and subsequently seized under relevant provisions. Officials reiterated that such enforcement drives will continue to ensure adherence to road safety norms.

As part of a special अभियान running from April 1 to April 15, a focused inspection of school vehicles is also underway. Joint teams from the Sub-Divisional Transport Office, Badaun, and traffic police conducted technical inspections of 152 school vehicles.

The inspection covered key safety parameters including vehicle fitness, braking systems, fire safety equipment, first aid kits, and compliance with transport regulations. The inspection reports were uploaded on the official online portal for transparency and monitoring.

Authorities emphasized that ensuring the safety of school children remains a top priority, and any violation of prescribed norms will invite strict penalties.
