In Barabanki, the “Khel Se Khushi: Sports for Youth” initiative is emerging as a strong catalyst for grassroots transformation. Hosted at the Satrikh Mini Stadium, the program witnessed enthusiastic participation from children, adolescents, and community members, reflecting a growing interest in sports-driven development.

The initiative, led by CII Foundation with support from Hale Energy and Tarashree Foundation, focuses on making sports accessible while promoting overall well-being among youth. It aims to bridge the gap between infrastructure and opportunity, especially in semi-urban and rural areas.

The event began with an introduction highlighting the importance of accessible sports infrastructure in shaping young minds. A cultural performance, “Armaan Hoon Main,” added an emotional and motivational touch, energizing participants.

Local administrative officials उपस्थित at the event encouraged youth to actively engage in sports, emphasizing its role in building discipline, confidence, and teamwork. Their presence underscored the importance of institutional support in community-driven initiatives.

A major highlight was the inauguration of upgraded sports facilities and the distribution of sports kits for volleyball, cricket, badminton, basketball, and table tennis. The Tara Memorial Table Tennis Championship brought competitive spirit to the forefront, with winners receiving trophies and all participants being recognized with certificates.

Representatives from Confederation of Indian Industry emphasized that India’s aspirations to host the 2036 Olympics require nurturing talent at the grassroots level, and such initiatives are critical stepping stones.

“Khel Se Khushi” goes beyond sports—it promotes inclusivity, especially encouraging girls’ participation, and strengthens community bonds. The initiative is steadily shaping a healthier, more confident, and engaged youth population in Barabanki.
