The under-construction Naval Shaurya Museum in Lucknow’s IT City area is rapidly approaching completion, with nearly 70% of the work already finished. Designed in the shape of a naval ship, the museum is poised to become a landmark symbol of the Indian Navy’s valor, technological excellence, and maritime legacy.
A major highlight of the project is the ‘Naval Shaurya Vatika,’ which is about 65% complete and will showcase iconic defense assets such as the TU-142M aircraft, Sea King SK-42B helicopter, and key weaponry from INS Gomti, including missiles, torpedoes, and anti-submarine systems.
According to Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, the museum will serve as a major boost to tourism while inspiring the younger generation with stories of bravery and sacrifice. He emphasized that the project reflects pride not only for Uttar Pradesh but for the entire nation.
The museum will stand out for its integration of advanced technology. Visitors will experience naval operations through 7D theatres, aircraft carrier landing simulators, and warship simulators. Key military operations, including post-Pulwama actions and Operation Sindoor, will be showcased in an engaging, immersive format.
Additional attractions include a digital water screen show, marine life aquarium, and interactive zones like “Dress Like Your Heroes.” A dedicated memorial garden will also be developed to honor fallen soldiers, offering a serene space for reflection.
Once completed, the museum is expected to emerge as a major tourist and educational hub, positioning Lucknow prominently on India’s defense tourism map.
