SBI Extends CSR Support to Leprosy Mission Trust India

₹40.69 Lakh Assistance to Improve Healthcare Facilities

The State Bank of India (SBI) has taken another meaningful step towards social welfare under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. During his visit to the Lucknow Circle, SBI Managing Director Mr. Ashwini Kumar Tewari handed over a cheque of ₹40.69 lakh to The Leprosy Mission Trust India.

The financial assistance will be used for purchasing medical equipment for hospitals operated by the organization in Ayodhya and Barabanki districts. These hospitals provide treatment and healthcare services to patients suffering from leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The support is expected to strengthen healthcare facilities and improve patient care in the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashwini Kumar Tewari said that SBI remains committed to inclusive growth and social development. He added that the contribution would help improve healthcare services for people affected by leprosy and other neglected diseases, while creating a positive impact at the grassroots level.

Senior SBI officials including Chief General Manager Mr. Dipesh Raj, General Manager-I Mr. Vimal Kishore, and General Manager-III Mr. Kaushalendra Kumar from SBI Lucknow Circle were also present during the programme.

The initiative reflects SBI’s continued commitment towards community welfare and accessible healthcare through meaningful CSR activities. Apart from banking services, SBI has consistently contributed to sectors like health, education, and social development across the country.
