Girls to Shine Alongside Boys at Annapurna Cricket Academy, Says Kalpana Agrawal

Annapurna Cricket Academy is emerging as a platform not only for young boys but also for aspiring girl cricketers, as the academy’s inauguration highlighted the importance of equal opportunities in sports.
Neel Agrawal and coach Akshay Srivastava emphasized that modern sports culture must encourage both boys and girls equally. They stated that the academy would provide professional coaching, advanced training facilities, and competitive exposure to talented female players as well.
Speaking at the event, Kalpana Agrawal said that girls today are proving themselves in every field and cricket should be no exception. She remarked that daughters are fully capable of showcasing their talent on the cricket field and bringing pride to society and the nation.
Kalpana Agrawal further said that Annapurna Cricket Academy would become an important platform for nurturing future women cricketers from Lucknow and nearby regions. The initiative received appreciation from parents and sports lovers who attended the programme.
The organisers also stressed that the academy aims to promote discipline, teamwork, confidence, and fitness among young athletes, while creating a healthy sporting environment for all. Observers believe the initiative could encourage greater female participation in cricket at the grassroots level in Uttar Pradesh.
