From AI and robotics to advanced Army equipment, innovations draw major attention
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel inspected various stalls set up at the small lawn of Jan Bhavan during the 57th Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition, gathering detailed information about the displays. Agricultural innovations, modern technologies, AI-based projects, robotics, and advanced equipment showcased by the Indian Army emerged as key attractions of the event.
During her visit, the Governor reviewed the stall of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. Representatives from Japan-based agro-product companies presented their latest fertilizers, nutrients, and advanced agricultural solutions. Appreciating these innovations, the Governor emphasized the importance of international collaboration and adoption of modern technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and boost farmers’ income.
She also visited the AI and Robotics Exhibition organized by students of Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Jan Bhavan. Students showcased creative projects such as robot soccer, a “Namaste Robot,” smart dustbin, automatic water dispenser, voice-controlled wheelchair, and a 3D printer. The Governor praised the students for their creativity and technological skills.
Governor Patel further inspected stalls set up by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation, Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (Rehman Khera), National Botanical Research Institute, and Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. A wide variety of medicinal plants, bonsai, and cactus species particularly captured attention.
At the Uttar Pradesh Prison Department’s “One Jail One Product” stall, the Governor reviewed the quality of products such as honey, ghee, biscuits, pickles, and bread, appreciating the initiative for promoting self-reliance and skill development.
She also gathered information about research activities, advanced agricultural products, and new vegetable varieties while visiting stalls of agricultural universities from Banda, Meerut, and Ayodhya.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the stall of the Indian Army’s Rajput Regiment, which displayed drones, Black Hornet systems, robotics, advanced weapons, and radio sets. Rare photographs from the 1971 war and details of the Instrument of Surrender generated significant interest among visitors. The Governor also inspected war vehicles and encouraged the soldiers.
Additionally, she visited the India Post exhibition to view stamp collections and stopped at the NCC stall to learn about training programs conducted under the Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana.
Special Duty Officer (Additional Chief Secretary level) Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, along with officials from Raj Bhavan, was present on the occasion. The exhibition effectively highlighted the convergence of agriculture, technology, and innovation, opening new possibilities for farmers and youth alike.
