The “Generation AI @ 2047 Summit” held in Lucknow highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s growing ambition to become a leader in artificial intelligence and digital innovation. Addressing the gathering, IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma described AI as the most transformative force of the future and emphasized its role in shaping economic growth.

The summit, hosted at Centrum Hotel, brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and young innovators on a common platform. It began with a student project exhibition, where participants from IBM SkillsBuild program showcased AI-driven innovations, reflecting strong technical capabilities and creative thinking.

During the “Generation AI Pitches,” young entrepreneurs presented innovative startup ideas, boosting the spirit of entrepreneurship. Panel discussions featured experts who deliberated on opportunities, risks, and ethical considerations surrounding AI adoption.

The minister highlighted initiatives like “AI Pragya” and “UP AI Mission,” stating that the government is actively working to equip youth with AI and digital skills. He also reiterated the vision of developing Lucknow as an “AI Capital,” positioning the state as a hub for future technologies.

Prominent institutions such as CBSE, IIIT Lucknow, AKTU, and 1M1B actively participated, sharing insights on AI-driven education and industry collaboration.

The event concluded with awards recognizing outstanding contributions from institutions, educators, and students. The summit emerged as a key platform for advancing AI innovation, skill development, and policy dialogue in Uttar Pradesh.
