Youth Convergence Under MY Bharat, PM Virtual Interaction to Add National Spotlight

Under the aegis of MY Bharat, Lucknow is set to host a landmark initiative promoting youth engagement and women’s empowerment through democratic participation. The “Women Mock Parliament” and “Budget Quest 2026” will be organized on April 12, 2026 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
Sharing details, Regional Director Anil Kumar Singh emphasized that the initiative aims to connect youth—especially young women—with democratic values and policymaking processes. He noted that empowering youth participation is crucial to achieving the vision of “Developed India @2047.”
State Director Gopesh Pandey highlighted that the central theme of the Women Mock Parliament is “Women Reservation Bill: Nari Shakti – Voice of a Developed India,” aligning with the 106th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2023. The objective is to spread awareness and strengthen women’s role in governance and decision-making.
Deputy Director Vikas Singh elaborated on the structure of the event, stating that 40 selected female participants will take part in the mock parliament, with 30 acting as Ministers and 10 as Members of Parliament. The session will replicate real parliamentary procedures, including structured debates, timed speeches, and final voting through voice vote.
A key highlight of the event is the participation of around 500–600 young women from various districts as audience members, offering them firsthand exposure to parliamentary functioning and democratic processes.
Under “Budget Quest 2026,” participants have been selected from over 1.2 million youth across the country. The initiative, launched by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, aims to enhance youth understanding of the Union Budget and its impact on citizens’ lives.
In the next phase, on April 13, 2026, selected participants will engage in a virtual interaction with the Prime Minister, supported by advanced technical and audio-visual arrangements to ensure seamless communication.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made for accommodation, meals, registration, participant kits, and high-quality event management. The program will also feature live documentation and extensive media coverage.
This initiative is poised to become a powerful platform for nurturing youth leadership, strengthening democratic awareness, and empowering women to actively contribute to nation-building.
