Improved Connectivity for Rural Region
Anytime News Network | A new direct UPSRTC bus service connecting Lucknow to Hanumanganj in Chitrakoot district was flagged off on Friday from 1, Mall Avenue Road. The service was inaugurated by Technical Education & Consumer Affairs Minister Ashish Patel and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Transport Dayashankar Singh.
The new route will significantly benefit rural residents of the Chitrakoot region, enabling direct access to the state capital for education, healthcare, and administrative purposes. The bus will travel via Raebareli, Unchahar, Sirathu, and Rajapur before reaching Hanumanganj, covering a total distance of approximately 234 km.
Officials stated that around 1,540 new routes have been identified across Uttar Pradesh, and services will be rolled out gradually to ensure connectivity to all villages as per the Chief Minister’s directive.
The bus will depart from Alambagh at 8:30 AM and reach Hanumanganj at 2:15 PM, while the return service will leave at 3:30 PM and arrive back in Lucknow at 9:15 PM.
Senior transport department officials were present during the inauguration ceremony.
