In compliance with directives issued by the Railway Board, a high-level meeting was convened at the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow on March 2, 2026, to deliberate on the ‘Seva Sankalp’ resolution approved by the Union Cabinet during its first meeting at “Seva Teerth.” The meeting took place at the Birsa Munda Auditorium and witnessed the participation of senior officers of the organization.
The session was chaired by Director General Prabhas Dansana, who underscored that the ‘Seva Sankalp’ is not merely a formal resolution but a call for transformative change in institutional work culture. He urged officers to internalize the core values embedded in the resolution and ensure their effective implementation across all functional domains of RDSO.
Detailed discussions were held on the key provisions, objectives, and expected outcomes of the resolution. Emphasis was laid on enhancing transparency, accountability, and public service orientation within the organization. Officers acknowledged that as the premier research and standards body of Indian Railways, RDSO carries a significant responsibility in aligning its internal systems with national governance priorities.
During the deliberations, participants collectively resolved to integrate the guiding principles of the ‘Seva Sankalp’ into everyday administrative practices. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to institutional excellence and citizen-centric service delivery. The initiative is expected to strengthen operational efficiency and reinforce public trust in the Indian Railways system.
