The State Bank of India organized the Annual Meeting of the SBI Pensioners Association at its Local Head Office in Lucknow, where senior officials highlighted the invaluable contribution of retired employees and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to their welfare.
Addressing the gathering, General Manager Anil Kumar described pensioners as an integral part of the SBI family and emphasized that their contributions have played a crucial role in shaping the institution’s growth and legacy. He said the bank remains fully committed to ensuring seamless pension payments and extending healthcare and welfare facilities to its retired workforce.
“Pensioners are our invaluable strength and an integral part of the SBI family. Their dedication during their years of service continues to inspire the current generation of employees,” he said. Kumar also noted that retired professionals represent a reservoir of knowledge and experience that continues to guide the institution.
He highlighted that the bank has launched several welfare initiatives in the past year aimed at improving the well-being of pensioners and their families. According to officials, the Lucknow circle alone has nearly 19,000 pensioners, making such engagement programs crucial for maintaining strong ties with retired employees.
Deputy General Manager Dheeraj Kumar from the Administrative Office Lucknow (West) also addressed the gathering and said that retired officers remain lifelong members of the SBI family. He emphasized that the bank consistently works toward addressing their concerns and ensuring their well-being.
He informed the participants that during the previous year, the bank organized five health camps and interaction sessions specifically for pensioners to address their medical and welfare concerns. He also remarked that retirement should not be viewed as the end of an active life but rather as an opportunity to contribute experience and wisdom to society.
The event was attended by senior bank officials including General Managers Rajeev Kumar and Kaushalendra Kumar, along with other executives and representatives of the SBI Pensioners Association. Dinesh Chandra, President of the SBI Pensioners Association Lucknow Circle, and General Secretary Atul Swarup were also present.
The program was coordinated by Chief Manager (Human Resources) Ashutosh Shukla.
