Deputy Managing Director, State Bank of India, Shri Satyendra Kumar Singh and Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle, Shri Dipak Kumar De on behalf of SBI foundation, the CSR arm of SBI, presented a cheque of more than Rs 9.98 crore to Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, to establish a Pediatric Cardiac Operating Theatre and Intensive Care Unit in Saloni Heart Centre at SGPGIMS, Lucknow under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The facility will enable life-saving surgeries for approximately 300 children annually, alongside the training of over 200 healthcare professionals, including surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, perfusionists, and technologists.
The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for State Bank of India (SBI) for its contribution to strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh and noted that our State has successfully combated encephalitis reducing deaths to zero. Now, State Government is determined to ensure that every child born with congenital heart disease in Uttar Pradesh receives the treatment and dignity of care that they deserve.
DMD, State Bank of India, Shri Satyendra Kumar Singh said that this project is a testament to our commitment to creating lasting impact in India’s healthcare ecosystem. By combining advanced infrastructure with skill development, we aim to ensure that children with congenital heart disease, irrespective of their socio-economic background, have access to timely, world-class treatment. He also mentioned that Shri Dipak Kumar De, CGM, Lucknow Circle is regularly conducting such type of CSR activities across the Circle.
Director, SGPGIMS, Prof. (Dr.) Radha Krishan Dhiman added that the institute, in collaboration with Saloni Heart Foundation, has embarked upon the journey to give world-class, timely care to the children with congenital heart disease who are the future of our society and extended thanks to SBI Foundation for their generous help in this endeavour.
