On the occasion of National Children’s Day, the Indira Gandhi Planetarium, Lucknow (Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh) is organizing a special one-day event on 14 November 2025 (Friday) at its premises.
In collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Government of India, a Free Aadhaar Camp will be set up for students and the general public. During the camp, new Aadhaar enrollments will be carried out free of cost, and citizens will also be able to update or correct existing Aadhaar details. The Aadhaar camp will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
To celebrate Children’s Day, the Planetarium will also organize a series of astronomy-themed competitions for students, including:
Solar Observation Session (using two solar telescopes),
Astronomy Drawing Competition,
Astronomical Quiz Competition, and
Astronomy Jingle Writing Competition.
All competitions will begin at 10:00 AM, and participation will be free for students from Classes 6 to 12. Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation from the Planetarium.
The winners of all competitions will be announced on 15 November 2025, and they will be awarded special prizes and certificates of merit.
The Indira Gandhi Planetarium aims to ignite curiosity and scientific temper among children and youth through these creative astronomy-based activities, while the Aadhaar Camp aligns with the vision of Digital India, ensuring citizens’ easy access to essential digital identification services.
