On 18.11.2025, Shri Vinay M. Tonse, Managing Director of State Bank of India, during his visit to Lucknow Circle, presented a cheque of Rs. 99 Lakh to M/s Bharti Samajik Sewa Sansthan (NGO), for the installation of 20 open Gyms in Shahjahanpur District under Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. The initiative aligns with SBI’s CSR program aimed at promoting health and wellness in the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tonse said, “The open Gyms will be set up across various locations in Shahjahanpur District. This contribution will provide local residents with access to fitness equipment and encourage an active lifestyle, contributing to both physical and mental well-being.
State Bank of India is constantly setting new dimensions by fulfilling its social responsibility in the field of public health and promoting Govt’s Fit India Programme.
During the programme, Shri Tonse unveiled the centenary celebrations of SBI’s Sitapur Branch, highlighting the range of activities planned for the 100-year milestone and also virtually inaugurated 10 new branches in the Circle, enhancing banking access, financial inclusion and supporting the State’s economic policies. With these additions, SBI operates 2353 branches across Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Dipak Kumar De, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle also graced the occasion.
