Leading emergency medicine experts from AIIMS, PGIMER, SGPGI, KGMU and RMLIMS participated in the National Round Table Discussion organised by SACTEM today in Lucknow.
The panel discussed two key areas of emergency care:
1. Safe Infusion Practices and
2. Management of Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) in Emergency Departments.
The recommendations will soon be published as national consensus guidelines.

SACTEM also announced that starting tomorrow, a 2-day CME & Hands-On Workshop will be held at SGPGI, Lucknow (6–7 December 2025), covering Infectious Diseases, Mechanical Ventilation and Emergency Ultrasound (PULSE).
A major highlight this event is the Free Training for Government Medical Officers on Ultrasound (USG) skills and Mechanical Ventilator management, aimed at strengthening emergency services across Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Alka Verma (Organising Secretary) and
Dr. Lokendra Gupta (Organising Chairman)
are leading this academic initiative in collaboration with SGPGIMS.
Experts from across India will be conducting lectures, workshops and hands-on stations to improve frontline emergency preparedness.
