Lucknow, July 5, 2026: The *Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Young Indians (Yi) Parliament 2026 – Kanpur Chapter* successfully concluded its two-day parliamentary programme, with the inaugural session held in Kanpur on 4 July 2026 and the grand finale hosted at the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, Lucknow, on 5 July 2026.
The concluding session at the Vidhan Sabha was inaugurated by *Shri Satish Mahana, Hon’ble Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly* , who inspired the participants through his insightful address on democratic values, responsible leadership, and the vital role of youth in strengthening India’s democratic institutions.
The event was graced by *Mr Anuj Agarwal, National Vice Chair, CII Young Indians, along with Mr Sanchit Agarwal, Chair, CII Yi Kanpur Chapter, Mr Yash Agarwal, Co-Chair, CII Yi Kanpur Chapter, and Mr Alok Shukla, Director & State Head, CII Uttar Pradesh.*
The two-day programme brought together young leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and change-makers from diverse backgrounds. Following an engaging first day in Kanpur, the selected participants assembled at the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha for the final parliamentary session, where they experienced the functioning of a legislative assembly through simulated parliamentary proceedings. They actively participated in debates, policy discussions, and legislative deliberations on issues of national and social importance, gaining valuable insights into governance, public policy, and democratic processes.
The CII Young Indians Parliament is a flagship leadership initiative aimed at nurturing informed, responsible, and future-ready leaders by providing experiential learning in governance, parliamentary procedures, and public discourse. The successful conclusion of the Kanpur Chapter reaffirmed CII Young Indians’ commitment to empowering the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and vision to contribute meaningfully towards building a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive India.
