The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has reiterated its organisational and political approach based on the principle of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay”, stating that its larger objective is to work for the welfare and interests of all sections of society in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution.
According to the party, its organisational strength lies not merely in individual leaders but in dedicated workers who remain committed to the mission with discipline, honesty and consistency. The BSP links this approach to the organisational tradition established by its founder Kanshi Ram, underlining the importance of committed grassroots workers.
The party has also expressed concern over leaders and individuals from different social communities who, according to it, left the organisation for personal interests or moved to other political parties. The BSP maintains that several such individuals failed to make sufficient efforts to connect their respective communities with the party, which, it says, affected its electoral prospects in successive Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Despite these setbacks, the party says that its senior and committed workers have continued efforts to strengthen the organisation. Particular emphasis is now being placed on preparing young and energetic workers through what the party describes as an organisational “nursery”.
The BSP believes that a new generation of workers with a clean image, constitutional outlook and missionary commitment can provide fresh strength to the organisation. The party expects both new and experienced workers to contribute more actively to its grassroots expansion.
The party has also appealed to the Brahmin community and other social groups to remain firmly associated with the BSP. It has reiterated that electoral participation should be based on preparedness and capability and that, if it forms a government, representation and due respect would be extended to different sections of society.
The BSP has further emphasised the important role of the Dalit community in strengthening its Sarvajan-based organisation at the grassroots level. The party’s message is that broader social participation, constitutional values and active grassroots engagement remain central to its organisational strategy.
