Six students of the Fine Arts Department of Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University have been selected for the Delhi Government’s education service, bringing cheer to the university community and highlighting the growing career potential of its students.
Six Names, One Achievement
The selected students are Avneesh Bharti (MVA, 2024), Kuldeep Verma (MVA, 2024), Mahfooz Ali (MVA, 2021), Saloni Kumari (MVA, 2022), Pushpendra Srivastava (MVA, 2018), and Pragati Jaiswal (BVA, 2023).
Their selection marks another significant achievement for the Fine Arts Department, which combines creative education with preparation for competitive examinations and diverse employment opportunities.
Beyond Art and Creativity
According to the department, around 50 per cent of its students are selected every year for government and central services in different states, besides opportunities in the corporate and private sectors.
The department’s students are also contributing to a wide range of fields, including teaching, scientific research institutions, engineering institutions, agriculture-related organisations, universities, advertising, information and public relations.
A Wider Career Ecosystem
The department has also witnessed the selection of its students in the Delhi Government’s education service in the past. The latest selections further strengthen the department’s emphasis on combining artistic education with career-oriented preparation.
Vice-Chancellor Congratulates Students
Vice-Chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh congratulated all six students on their achievement. Registrar Rohit Singh, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Performing Arts Prof. Pandey Rajeevnayan, and faculty members Dr. Awadhesh Mishra and Dr. Sunita Sharma also extended their congratulations.

University officials described the achievement as the outcome of quality education, structured training and continuous guidance. The selection of six students has added another milestone to the department’s efforts to prepare students for competitive examinations and diverse professional pathways.
