Lucknow. The auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, has begun across the country amid immense devotion, traditional rituals and festive enthusiasm. From homes to beautifully decorated public pandals, idols of the revered Vighnaharta have been installed with great श्रद्धा, while chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” echo through the streets and neighbourhoods.

In the Sanatan tradition, Lord Ganesha is revered as the Pratham Pujya, the first deity to be worshipped before beginning any auspicious work. He is regarded as the remover of obstacles, the giver of wisdom and intellect, and a symbol of auspicious beginnings and success.

Ganesh Chaturthi is not merely a religious celebration. It carries a powerful message of social harmony, brotherhood, collective faith and renewed beginnings. Across cities and communities, devotees are coming together to participate in prayers, aartis, bhajans and cultural programmes, turning the festival into a vibrant expression of India’s rich cultural heritage.

On this sacred occasion, the Indian Bank family also extended warm Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to citizens. Chief General Manager Mr. Sudhir Kumar Gupta, Deputy General Manager Mr. Satish Kumar Sonkar, and Assistant General Managers Mr. Sanjay Sareen, Mr. Vikas Kumar, Mr. Aditya Ranjan, Mr. Shashank Mishra and Mr. Navneet, along with other senior officials, offered their respectful prayers to Lord Ganesha and conveyed their wishes for happiness, prosperity, peace and good health for the people of the state and the country.
