: Indian Bank has made a strong mark in the digital banking and financial services space by winning six prestigious awards at the 11th Excellence in Digital Banking Leadership Summit 2026, organised by the Indian Investors Federation at Hotel Taj Mahal, Lucknow, on September 2.
The awards were presented in the presence of Nand Gopal Gupta, Minister for NRI and Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, adding significance to the recognition received by the bank.
Indian Bank secured Second Position – Bank of the Year as well as Second Position – Excellence Award in Priority Sector, covering important segments such as agriculture/crops, renewable energy, housing and education.
The bank further strengthened its achievement with Third Position – Excellence in Renewable Energy and Third Position – Excellence in Housing. It also received the Best Marketing Strategist award, recognising its approach towards banking outreach and market engagement.
Adding another distinction to the occasion, Sudhir Kumar Gupta, Chief General Manager, Indian Bank, was honoured with the Outstanding Performance in All Sectors award.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta highlighted the growing impact of government-sponsored schemes in expanding access to credit and financial services among different sections of society. He emphasised that digital banking is playing an increasingly important role in making financial services faster, simpler and more customer-centric.
He reiterated Indian Bank’s commitment to using technology effectively to support industries, businesses, entrepreneurs and priority sectors. He also underlined the bank’s focus on strengthening financial inclusion and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
