SBI Lucknow Circle Leads ‘One Day, One Hour, Together’ Shramdaan Drive

Cleanliness, plantation and environmental responsibility take centre stage at Laplace Garden

 Reinforcing its commitment to cleanliness, environmental sustainability and social responsibility, the State Bank of India (SBI), Lucknow Circle organised the nationwide Shramdaan campaign “One Day, One Hour, Together” at Laplace Garden, Lucknow, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign.

The drive was led by Shri Dipesh Raj, Chief General Manager, Lucknow Circle, who participated in the cleanliness activity along with senior officers and employees of the Bank.

Cleanliness Takes Centre Stage

The campaign focused on strengthening public awareness about cleanliness, reducing the use of single-use plastic and encouraging sustainable and environment-friendly practices.

SBI officials and staff members actively participated in the Shramdaan activity, giving a strong message that cleanliness is a shared responsibility requiring collective action.

Plantation for a Greener Tomorrow

The campaign also featured a plantation drive, with several saplings planted at the venue. The initiative linked the message of cleanliness with environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dipesh Raj said that cleanliness and environmental sustainability go hand in hand. He emphasised that through the plantation initiative, SBI seeks to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener and healthier India.

He also highlighted that SBI’s responsibility extends beyond financial services and includes meaningful participation in social and community-oriented initiatives.

Senior Officials Join the Drive

The campaign witnessed participation from senior SBI officials, including Shri Kaushalendra Kumar, General Manager (Network-III); Shri Vimal Kishore, General Manager (Network-I); and Shri Rajeev Kumar, General Manager (Network-II).

The senior officials joined the plantation activity and encouraged employees to actively contribute towards cleanliness and environmental protection.

A Collective Commitment

The “One Day, One Hour, Together” campaign under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 underscored SBI’s commitment to promoting a culture of cleanliness, responsible citizenship and environmental sustainability.

Through Shramdaan and plantation, the initiative conveyed a simple but powerful message: a cleaner environment requires not only institutional action but also sustained participation from society at large.
