Vaishya Community’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Key to India’s Economic Growth

A significant meeting of the founding members of the Vaishya International Association (VIA) was held on Friday in Bikaner, Rajasthan, focusing on strengthening community unity, social harmony and the role of the Vaishya community in national development. The meeting took place at Hotel Basant Vihar Palace and was hosted by the Haldiram Group.
Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Industrial Development Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ attended the gathering and participated in discussions with senior members of the organization and prominent personalities from the Vaishya community.
During the meeting, meaningful deliberations were held on several key issues including unity within the community, strengthening organizational structure, promoting social harmony and enhancing the community’s contribution to the nation’s overall progress.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Nandi stated that the Vaishya community has always played a vital role in India’s economic, social and cultural development through its traditions of entrepreneurship, hard work, service and philanthropy.
He emphasized that such gatherings provide a valuable platform for dialogue, cooperation and collective planning aimed at the overall upliftment of society. According to him, these interactions bring new energy and a positive direction for community development.
The minister further highlighted that the Vaishya International Association is committed to carrying forward the rich legacy of the community’s great ancestors. The organization is working with dedication for the upliftment of weaker and underprivileged sections of society.
He noted that the foundation of VIA is based on the principle of strengthening the community while pursuing the vision of “Nirbal Vargotthanam” — empowering the weaker sections and making them self-reliant.
The meeting also discussed strategies to promote entrepreneurship among the younger generation and to develop initiatives that would help economically weaker members of the community become self-sufficient.
Several prominent industrialists and dignitaries were present at the event including Mahesh Gupta (Director, Kent RO Systems), Manohar Lal Agrawal (Haldiram Group), Nand Kishore Agrawal (Crystal Group), Rajesh Gupta (Multicolor Steels Group), Sunil Goyal (Newmax Builders), Dharampal Agrawal (Vidya Polymers), Madhusudan Agrawal, Sushil Jain, Ajay Singhal (Om Logistics), Nirmal Goyal (Sagar Kattha Factory) and Rajeev Agrawal (Share Trader) along with other distinguished guests.
Participants expressed confidence that the Vaishya International Association will continue to work towards strengthening the community, inspiring the younger generation and contributing positively to national development.
