PNB & Kiwi Power UPI Credit: 180 Million Users to Benefit
Anytime News Network Punjab National Bank (PNB) has taken a major leap in digital banking by partnering with Kiwi to roll out credit-enabled UPI services for its massive base of 180 million customers. This move is expected to transform everyday payments by blending instant credit with the convenience of UPI.
As part of the collaboration, PNB has launched the “PNB Kiwi Credit Card” on the RuPay network, offering fully digital onboarding, seamless UPI integration, and attractive rewards. Users can enjoy cashback ranging from 0.5% to 1.5% on online transactions, making digital spending more rewarding than ever.
PNB Executive Director Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra emphasized that India’s payment ecosystem is rapidly evolving, driven by the growth of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). With over 10,000 branches, especially in semi-urban and rural areas, the bank aims to extend formal credit access to underserved populations.
Kiwi Co-founder Siddharth Mehta highlighted that this partnership marks a significant milestone in reshaping how customers experience credit—making it more accessible, flexible, and secure.
Overall, the initiative signals a new era in India’s fintech landscape, where credit and digital payments merge seamlessly to empower millions.
