Heatwave Impact: School Timings Revised in Lucknow for Student Safety

: In response to rising temperatures, the District Magistrate Lucknow has ordered a change in school timings for the benefit of students across the district.
As per the directive, all schools—government, aided, private, and other boards—from pre-primary to Class 8 will operate from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, effective April 22, 2026, until further notice.
The move aims to protect students from extreme heat conditions and ensure their health and safety during peak summer days. Authorities have instructed strict compliance across all institutions.
Parents and school administrations have been urged to adjust schedules accordingly and cooperate with the new guidelines. Education officials, including district-level authorities, have been tasked with monitoring implementation.
