Schools, Trustees Engage Actively—Tax Department Pushes Financial Literacy

i: Income Tax Department organized a major outreach program focusing on the key provisions of the new Income Tax Act 2025, aiming to enhance financial literacy and awareness among stakeholders from educational institutions and charitable trusts.
The event witnessed participation from representatives of over 80 schools across the National Capital Region, along with trustees and office bearers, reflecting growing interest in understanding evolving tax regulations.
Pallavi Agrawal highlighted that the new tax law is designed to simplify procedures, eliminate ambiguities, and promote transparency through technology-driven systems, aligning with India’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
A key highlight of the program was the inter-school quiz “Tax Your Brain – Income Tax Quiz” for students of classes IX to XII. Participants showcased strong enthusiasm and knowledge, with winners being awarded prizes and certificates.
Experts believe such initiatives play a crucial role in demystifying tax laws and preparing younger generations to be financially aware citizens.
