NADT–CII Organise ‘Purple Fair’ to Celebrate Disability Inclusion on International Day

 

 

NADT, Regional Campus, Lucknow in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) , has organised the *Purple Fai* r on 3rd December 2025 to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).

The program was graced by *Shri Asim Aru* n, Minister of state (Independent Charge), Social Welfare, Scheduled Caste & Tribal Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering at the Purple Fair, Shri Asim Arun said that he is proud to see so many organizations, NGOs, and young volunteers joining hands for disability inclusion. Such collaborations reflect the true essence of social welfare—where government, institutions, and community work together to ensure no one is left behind. He added that this fair is a platform that unites us, deepens our understanding of each other, and motivates us to move forward together with empathy and collaboration. He also congratulated NADT and CII for conceptualizing and executing such a thoughtful and impactful initiative.

The event featured a special exhibition where differently-abled showcased a diverse array of handmade products, crafts, and innovations. Additionally, the programme included a heartfelt cultural performance by differently-abled children from various NGOs, celebrating inclusivity, talent, and empowerment. Participation was from several NGOs including, Aashayein, Drishti Samajik Sansthan, Samriddhi Sansthan, National Association for the Blind, RSVI, Jeevan Jyoti Samajik Sansthan, I Support Foundation.

 

The fair witnessed an overwhelming number of visitors, who came to support and appreciate the incredible talent on display.
