In response to recent reports regarding the Income Tax Department freezing it’s bank accounts, , LuLu clarifies that it is a fully compliant organisation that has duly responded to all statutory notices in accordance with applicable laws. An income tax demand, totally unjust was subsequently challenged before the Hon’ble High Court, which, by its order dated 22 April 2025, directed that no coercive action be taken until the matter is adjudicated. The appeal and stay application are currently pending before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) and the matter stands resolved for the present.
