OSH Act Awareness Program Held at College Campus
Anytime News Network An awareness program on the “Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013” was organized at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Degree College. The initiative aimed to educate students about legal provisions, rights, and preventive measures related to sexual harassment.
Report and Awareness Video Presented
The session was coordinated by Dr. Yatindra Kumar Jha from the Department of Sociology. He presented an awareness report and video related to the POSH Act and explained its key provisions. He emphasized that the Act ensures dignity and safety for women at workplaces and educational institutions.
College Ambassadors Took Oath
To promote gender sensitivity and prevention of sexual harassment, College Ambassadors Shalini Jaiswal, Anshika Rai, Mahak Gupta, Niladri Mitra, and Himanshu Vishwakarma took a pledge. Students were also administered a pledge to uphold gender equality and maintain a respectful environment.
Participation of Over 50 Students
More than 50 students actively participated in the program. The event encouraged students to become responsible and aware individuals committed to maintaining a safe campus environment.

The program was attended by Principal Dr. V.K. Srivastava along with faculty members Bhavna Sethi, Rakhi Singh, T.K. Chaudhary, Dr. Roli Srivastava, Dr. Sushila Pandey, Divya, Priya, Prakashini, and Naved Alam.
The session concluded with a message promoting awareness, equality, and respect within the academic community.
