Ashok Kumar Verma received a grand welcome in Lucknow following his appointment as National President of the Trade Cell of the Lok Janshakti Party. A meeting was organised at Shakuntalam Hotel, Ashiyana, by representatives of traders’ associations, where he was felicitated with garlands and traditional honours.
During the event, office bearers expressed gratitude to Chirag Paswan for appointing Verma to the key organisational position, stating that the decision would strengthen the voice of bullion and jewellery traders at the national level.
Leaders of the traders’ associations raised concerns regarding alleged police harassment of jewellers under Sections 411 and 412, urging for fair treatment and policy-level intervention.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Kumar Verma assured the trading community that he would extend full support in resolving their issues and work towards safeguarding their interests. He emphasised unity among traders and pledged to raise their concerns at appropriate forums.
Several prominent members of the traders’ associations were present at the meeting, reflecting strong solidarity within the business community. The event concluded with a renewed call for collective efforts to ensure a secure and conducive business environment.
