Agarwal Sabha celebrates vibrant Holi festival with folk music and dance in Lucknow
Phagun songs and flower Holi add color to Holi Milan event in Motinagar

The spirit of colours, joy and cultural harmony was on full display as Shri Agarwal Sabha organized a grand Holi celebration at the Agarwal Shiksha Sansthan campus in Motinagar, Lucknow. The Holi Milan event featured vibrant cultural performances including folk dances, folk music, flower Holi and traditional Phagun songs that created a festive and cheerful atmosphere.

Lucknow MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he said that Holi is not just a festival of colours but a symbol of love, harmony and social unity. He emphasized that such cultural celebrations strengthen social bonding and spread positive energy within society.
The program
began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries, followed by garlanding and offering prayers before the portrait of Maharaja Agrasen. Members of the organizing committee greeted each other by applying “abir-gulal” and exchanging warm Holi wishes.

Artists from Vayu Pankh Sangeet Academy presented captivating folk dance performances that entertained the audience. Meanwhile, the Shalu Srivastava Group performed devotional tableaux and traditional Phagun songs which added a cultural and spiritual charm to the celebration. Popular Holi folk songs such as “Aaj Biraj Mein Hori Re Rasiya,” “Hori Khele Raghuveera Awadh Mein,” “Phagun Mein Hori Khelan Ko Main Hoon Na Taiyaar,” and “Tere Kul Mein Lag Rayo Daag Main Tum Sang Hori Naaye Khelun” were presented with great enthusiasm.

Adding to the festive mood, Dr. Neeraj Bora also performed a traditional Phagun song, which received huge applause from the audience and added excitement to the Holi Milan ceremony.

Members of the committee and guests also celebrated flower and colour Holi along with a Radha-Krishna themed presentation. The entire venue resonated with joy and festivity as people enjoyed the spirit of the spring festival.

The event concluded with refreshments where guests enjoyed traditional Holi delicacies including thandai, chaat and a community feast.
