CII UP Hosts High-Level Interaction
Focus on Investment, Tech & Innovation

In Lucknow, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uttar Pradesh organized a high-level interaction session with Christopher Cooter, aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties between India and Canada. The session witnessed participation from key industry leaders and stakeholders.
The interaction was led by Abhishek Sarraf, Chairman, CII Uttar Pradesh and MD of Awadh Rail Infra Limited, along with Pranay S. Garg, Vice Chairman, CII Uttar Pradesh and MD of Advance Valves Private Limited.
The session served as a significant platform to explore new avenues of collaboration between India and Canada, particularly in sectors such as clean energy, agri-tech, education, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing. Discussions also emphasized enhancing trade and investment flows, strengthening technology partnerships, and promoting skill development and innovation.
CII members highlighted the rapidly evolving industrial landscape of Uttar Pradesh and discussed opportunities to attract Canadian investments into the state. At the same time, possibilities for Uttar Pradesh-based industries to expand into the Canadian market were also explored.
Key issues such as ease of doing business, policy collaboration, and the role of industry bodies in facilitating partnerships were also deliberated upon during the session.
The interaction concluded with a shared commitment to deepen India-Canada economic cooperation and unlock new opportunities for mutual growth and development.
