YONO 2.0 App Ready to Provide Instant Remote Services; SBI Targets 20 Crore Users in the Coming Years

LUCKNOW. Aligning strictly with its core “Customer First” philosophy, the State Bank of India (SBI) is continuously scaling up its digital ecosystem to deliver next-generation banking. Marking a major physical and technological expansion, SBI Managing Director Ashwini Kumar Tiwari inaugurated the newly constructed, state-of-the-art building of the Administrative Office, Lucknow (East) in Gomti Nagar.

Speaking as the chief guest, SBI MD Ashwini Kumar Tiwari emphasized that the bank is aggressively pushing boundaries to make digital financial services accessible to the masses. He highlighted that the recently launched, highly advanced ‘YONO 2.0’ application allows customers to safely access all banking products and services instantly from the comfort of their homes. Currently boasting 10 crore active users, SBI aims to double its YONO user base to 20 crores in the near future. He reiterated that while promoting digital channels, SBI simultaneously empowers remote rural populations through its unparalleled network of traditional physical branches.

Elaborating on the significance of the new establishment, the Managing Director stated that this ultra-modern office is a symbol of SBI’s glorious legacy spanning over 200 years, driven by transparency and operational efficiency. The new Lucknow (East) module will directly oversee 5 regional offices, a commercial branch, RACPC Gomti Nagar, and 179 branches spread across Lucknow (East), Barabanki, Ayodhya, Gonda, and Bahraich districts. Apart from expanding corporate business, the office will actively drive awareness campaigns regarding cyber security and financial literacy.

The inaugural event witnessed active participation from top-brass officials of the SBI Lucknow Circle, including Chief General Manager Dipesh Raj, General Managers Vimal Kishore, Rajiv Kumar, and Kaushalandra Kumar, alongside DGM & CCO Sanjay Ambastha and the new module’s DGM Raghvendra Kumar. Assistant General Managers Ms. Soumya Lahiri, Anand Kumar Singh, and other senior staff members were also present, while the event was seamlessly coordinated by Chief Manager Ms. Manisha Srivastava.
