: In a strategic move to preserve Uttar Pradesh’s glorious cultural legacy and connect the younger generation with their roots, a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi and Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. The high-profile event, held at the Tourism Department auditorium in Lucknow, took place in the dignified presence of UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh and Managing Director of UP Tourism Development Corporation, Ashish Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted that this marks the fifth major collaboration with Subharti University. He emphasized that the partnership between the premier cultural academy and the leading university will create a formidable alliance to foster academic research, training, and heritage preservation. “It is critical to rescue our fading folk art forms from extinction and secure them for our future generations so they can look back at their heritage with absolute pride,” the Minister stated.
A Unified Framework for Education, Art, and Research The core objective of this MoU is to construct a robust institutional framework that bridges classical music, regional dance, and theater traditions with modern academics. Both entities will pull their resources together to organize national and state-level cultural exchange programs, giving a massive platform to both veteran artists and emerging raw talent.
The signing ceremony witnessed a gathering of top academic and cultural stalwarts, including Subharti University Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, Dean of Fine Arts Prof. Pintu Mishra, and HOD of Performing Arts Prof. Bhavna Grover. Representing the Akademi were President Prof. Jayant Khot, Vice-President Mrs. Vibha Singh, and Director Dr. Shobhit Kumar Nahar. Moving forward, this joint venture is set to systematically transform cultural education and community awareness across Uttar Pradesh.
