In a major push to consolidate and modernize India’s massive transport ecosystem, the elite “Pravas 5 Curtain Raiser” was officially inaugurated yesterday at Hotel Ornett, Lucknow. Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), Shri Dayashankar Singh, commenced the high-profile event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The flagship convention, jointly hosted by ABCOF and BOCI Uttar Pradesh, witnessed an influential gathering of top-tier logistics entrepreneurs, bus/car fleet owners, and key political dignitaries, including Aligarh MP Satish Gautam and Saharanpur MLA Rajiv Gamber.

Expressway Infrastructure and Digital Portals Empowering Operators

Delivering his keynote address, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh lauded the BOCI leadership for systematically uniting vehicle operators onto a single corporate platform.

  • The Economic Catalyst: Singh emphasized that the transport sector is the core engine driving Uttar Pradesh’s GDP growth. He highlighted that UP now boasts the highest network of expressways in India, custom-designed to match the operational logic of fleet operators.

  • Paperless Governance: The Minister outlined that by moving core services like challan clearance, RC issuance, and insurance renewals to decentralized online portals, the state has institutionalized absolute transparency and ease of doing business.

Two Wheels of a Chariot: “The state department and the private transport community are like the two synchronized wheels of a single vehicle,” Singh stated. He also extended his special gratitude to the operators for their flawless logistics management during the mega Mahakumbh.

Tech Innovation: ‘Yellow Plate App’ Takes Center Stage

While BOCI President Prasanna Patwardhan laid down the strategic map of the organization, business magnets like Rakesh Kalra, Anil Dixit, Gurmeet Singh Taneja, Manik Chawla, and Naresh Grover debated heavily on mitigating contemporary structural challenges. The crowning moment of the summit was the official rollout of the “Yellow Plate App,” presented by Kiran Desai. This state-of-the-art application is being hailed as a revolutionary digital intervention tailored explicitly for the commercial bus and car operators of Uttar Pradesh. The event concluded with a vote of thanks honoring the nationwide delegates and media fraternity.
