In a landmark move destined to redefine digital financial inclusion, Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s premier public sector bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) at its corporate office in Dwarka, New Delhi.
A Strategic Alliance Formed The agreement was formalized in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Shri M. Paramasivam, Executive Director, PNB; Shri Amitabh Nag, CEO, DIBD; and Shri Atish Kumar Raut, Chief General Manager (Digital Banking Transformation Division – DBTD), PNB.
Empowering Customers via Advanced AI Integration Through this groundbreaking partnership, Bhashini’s sophisticated multilingual AI capabilities will be seamlessly integrated into PNB’s digital platforms. This integration will empower diverse consumer segments to execute banking transactions and access essential services in their native Indian languages using both voice and text commands.
Accelerating Inclusive Digital Transformation Highlighting the significance of the tie-up, Shri M. Paramasivam, Executive Director of PNB, remarked, “This collaboration showcases how Digital Public Infrastructure can accelerate inclusive digital transformation across sectors.
